Using a Stencil to Create a Scrapbook Planner Page

by Kymona Tracey

Hello everyone!

Kymona here to show you how to use a stencil to create a scrapbook planner page.

This year I’ve decided to use my planner not just to document my days but also my memories. I love looking back on pages, which would have been forgotten without the photos, to remind me of what I was thinking or doing on those days.

Altenew stencils are amazing on cards and traditional layouts but they are lovely in a planner as well.

Let’s take a look:
Dahlia Stencil

Tell me you don’t love how that Dahlia looks on both pages.

I used the Altenew Layered Dahlia Stencil A and B to create this beautiful background.

Here’s how to use a stencil to create a scrapbook planner page:

Choose a two-page spread in your planner.

On the right side of the page, use Altenew Layered Dahlia Stencil A and Altenew Coral Bliss Ink to create the first layer of the flower.

Apply the ink with an ink dauber. It’s small enough to add ink in the tiny areas without going out of the lines.

Once the first layer of the flower is down, use Altenew Layered Dahlia Stencil B and Altenew Heart Beat Ink to create the darker second layer of the flower.

To mirror the flower on the left side of the page, turn the stencil on the backside and apply the ink, in the same manner, starting with Stencil A.

Continue with Stencil B and finish off the full flower.

Add your photo to the top left side of the layout using foam adhesive.

Stamp a sentiment using the Altenew Sincere Greetings Stamp Set underneath the photo three times using Altenew Permanent Black Ink.

Sincere Greetings

Stamp a couple more sentiments from the same stamp set on the right side of the layout using the same ink.

Add a couple of embellishments to finish up the layout.

Let’s take another look:

Stenciling is easy and looks amazing in a planner too.

So, what do you think? Would you stencil in your planner? I would love to hear from you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Ooh, I JUST got these two stencils in the mail! I won’t do it in my planner because I write all my stuff in there, but I love the look in yours! I think I am going to use this stencil for a card, and for one of my scrapbook pages this month! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!

Love that idea Kymona, I don’t use my planner for craft but now I am thinking that it is a lovely thought to do it on the days that have passed. Thank you for showing this!
