Hello, everyone!

Kymona here to show you how to maximize your scrapbook patterned paper. This is part one of a two-part series.

Altenew has two scrapbook kits: Reflection Scrapbook Collection and Our Family Scrapbook Collection. Both come with several sheets of patterned paper. Using them on projects other than scrapbook pages are fun too!

Moreover, using one sheet on two projects is a sure way to maximize your stash!

Let’s take a look:

Reflection Collection Paper and Sticker Sheet BundleAren’t these notebooks fun and cute?! I thought so too when I saw them on Amber’s page (@trapezecraft) on my Instagram feed.

Here’s how to maximize your patterned paper:

1. Cut the 12×12 patterned paper into different strips:

(1) 10.5 x 3.5
(1) 12 x 5
(2) 5 x 3.5

2. For this project, you will need the 10.5 x 3.5 piece and the two pieces of 5 x 3.5. Keep the rest of the cut paper for part 2 of this series.

3. The paper pad is a Dollar Tree item. It’s made up of 5 pads glued together. Take off the front pad, leaving the chipboard attached to the pad. Remove the last pad, leaving only 3 pads with chipboard on both sides.

4. Take the 10.5 x 3.5 sheet and wrap it around the pad, lining the paper along the bottom edge of the chipboard up around the other side, creasing the paper at the top.

Our Family Patterned Paper5. Adhere the paper to the chipboard and the top using very strong adhesive.

6. Take the 2 pieces of 5 x 3.5 paper and adhere them to the inside chipboard front and back.

7. Trim off the excess.

8. Add a sticker from the chipboard stickers from both collections to the front of each book.

Nicely done.

Let’s see them again:

Our Family Patterned PaperSo, what do you think? Will you create your own notepad? I would love to hear from you!

Stay tuned for part 2 of this post. I will show you how to use the rest of the paper we cut.
