Get to know Irit!

Hi! I’m Irit, mother of 2 lovely girls and wife of one supportive husband. We live in the beautiful Austrian countryside. I started scrapbooking in 2011 and soon discovered watercolors, mixed media, and art journaling, and fell instantly in love. Stamps and watercolors are some of my favorite tools and I enjoy coming up with creative ways of using them. I love sharing my projects and inspiring others on my YouTube channel, as well as teaching online classes.

Irit’s Rainbow Watercolor Art Journal Spread

Altenew - Irit Landgraf - Guest DesignerToday I’m sharing a simple yet eye-catching art journal spread with you. It has everything I love – watercolors, splatters, flower stamps, and rainbow colors. I used the Watercolor 36 Pan Set, Sketchy Floral Stamp Set, Botanical Garden Stamp Set, and the Reflection Collection Roller Stamp.

Altenew - Irit Landgraf - Guest DesignerI love embossing my flower stamps images, coloring and fussy cutting them. This way I can play with colors and experiment without the risk of messing up my background.

I always make extra flowers to use on more than one project.

Altenew - Irit Landgraf - Guest DesignerThe background took no time at all, and I had a lot of fun letting the beautiful colors run, drip, and mix.

Fabulous video!!! I love the rainbow drip technique and the idea to paint your flowers separately and glue them onto the layout. Thank you for sharing your art with us.
