Video: Leftover Layout

by Lilith Eeckels

Welcome back to another day of inspiration on the Altenew Scrapbook Blog.

To be completely honest, I forgot I had a blog post today and when I got a friendly reminder from one of the team, I wanted to cry. I’m usually really organized and do everything ON TIME. This month was a little busy, add to that me getting strep throat and it was the perfect combination to get behind on EVERYTHING. Oh, and my tumble dryer decided to call it a day. That’s a HUGE issue for a family of four and with near-freezing temperatures outside. Well, I pulled up my sleeves and created a quick layout (took me all in all 15 minutes).

How did I do it? I just used older bits and bobs that I had in my bowls and embellishments drawer. I also had some 6X6 patterned papers from the Celebrate You Kit which I decided to layer. The Painted Orchids Washi Tape from which I cut so many flowers also made it quick and easy for me to embellish and add detail.

I knew all those bits and bobs I kept would come to good use and this time they also saved me. This project was also the perfect occasion to use up the beautiful white decorative frame from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection.

You can see how the layout came together in the video below or watch it in HD on YouTube. The whole editing part actually took me longer than the “creating” part.

Thank you so much for joining me.

Do you like to use up your leftover bits? I do!

I have listed all the products I used in the supply list below. My favorite is the YOU ARE LOVED die. I have a couple of those die-cuts left and I’ll definitely use them on future projects.

This is just darling, Lilith, and to think you ‘threw it together’ is amazing! Love it! Hope you are feeling better soon, and that that stinkin’ dryer gets working again!
