Stamp Focus: Book Club

by Lilith Eeckels

Welcome to a new Stamp Focus blog post. Today I’ll be showcasing the Book Club Stamp Set. It is such a sweet set that can be used in so many ways. The stunning floral image can be used to create a bookmark or a label for the front of your journal. Or you can stamp it on the inside cover of your favorite book as a unique bookplate. The sentiments convey yours or a gift recipient’s ownership of the book/journal, and the image is versatile enough for everyday use.

@lilitheeckelsI created three projects with the set. The first is a layout where I stamp the top and bottom half of the floral image in Permanent Black Ink above and below my paper and photo cluster.

@lilitheeckelsI used the Verdant Walk 6×6 Paper Pack for the layered effect and cut out some flowers from one of the patterned papers to make some embellishments.

@lilitheeckelsFor the title, I used a chipboard die-cut from the Live Your Dream Collection.

@lilitheeckelsMy second project is a card.

How to:

  1. Stamp the floral image onto watercolor paper with Permanent Black Ink and let it dry.
  2. Pick some of your favorite Ink Spray colors and color the image.
  3. Cut out your stamped image using the coordinating Book Club Die.
  4. Place onto a base or create a vibrant background using contrasting patterned papers.
  5. Finish off with a sentiment.

@lilitheeckelsYou can see how I created this card and the layout in the video below or watch it on YouTube if you prefer.

My last project is another layout. Once again, I stamped the floral image from the Book Club Stamp Set but this time I opted to use a soft peach color. I picked: Pink Pearl from the Tea Party Crisp Dye Ink Oval Set.

@lilitheeckelsI stamped the image over the whole background to create my custom patterned paper. Then I used the Book Club coordinating circle die to die cut pretty circles from a floral patterned paper from the Verdant Walk 6×6 Paper Pack.

@lilitheeckels

I also cut out some extra flowers for added dimension and detail. Some Butterfly Acetate Die Cuts create movement and flow. Also, matting my picture on some contrasting patterned papers makes it stand out. The title was super easy to create as I used the word SWEET from the Script Words 3 Die Set.

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderfully creative day.

These are both lovely! In the second layout, I didn’t even realize the stamp was in the background as the floral center became such a focal point. What a versatile stamp!
