Welcome to the Altenew Scrapbook Blog and a new layout inspiration from Sandra on how to use our Butterfly Acetate Die-Cuts on a scrapbook layout. Add little details like the Live Your Dream Wood Epoxy Buttons, Live Your Dream Puffy Alphabet Stickers, and handwritten journaling to pimp your layout. The butterflies and circular watermarks are the perfect embellishments for fresh and airy spring and summer layouts. These are also great if you combine them with wood epoxy buttons and white cardstock.
First, cut an 8.5 x 11 background from plain white cardstock. Second, add smaller strips of patterned paper onto the left and right edges of the cardstock background. Third, cut a smaller piece of patterned paper and layer it underneath the photo of your choice.
Fourth, add butterflies and circular watermarks around the photo. Make sure that some of the embellishments overlap with the photo. This makes the layout look more interesting. Fifth, add handwritten journaling and a title with the puffy black alphabet stickers. For the journaling, grab a black pen and some white cardstock. Next, write down your journaling onto the white cardstock. And then cut small journaling strips. Finally, adhere the journaling strips with foam pads.
TIP: Glue down your acetate die-cuts with glue dots or clear liquid glue. Glue dots are almost invisible and really sticky. I used the glue dots in the center of the butterfly and lifted the wings a little before gluing down the butterflies. It looks as if the butterflies were ready to take off and fly off the page.
Last but not least, have fun using your favorite scrapbook products from Altenew on your scrapbook layouts and any other creative paper crafting projects. Have a good day and keep on being a creative soul.
