Today’s hop is all about the new gradient cardstock which is perfect for the Altenew’s Layering Dies. No need to worry about finding four shades of cardstock that work together because, with these sets, you’ll have everything you need.
My first project with this set combines the Cherry Blossom, Green Meadows, Sea Shore, and Shades of Purple Gradient Cardstock Sets. I cut out leaves and flowers from the Layered Rose Die Set and created bright embellishments for my layout.
I alternated darker and lighter shades creating similar but still different flowers and leaves. Two clusters ornated my photo which lies on top of some patterned paper that I picked from different paper packs.
Instead of adding ink splatters, I opted to use confetti. It adds detail and some fun to the layout. The butterflies fluttered onto the layout at the very last minute. I just had to add them.
You can see how this layout came together in the video below or watch it in HD on YouTube.
My second project was created with the leftovers from the first and I also added the outline die-cut. One simple outline is enough to create an original element.
The possibilities with these cardstock sets are endless and they are a must-have if you love our layering dies!
