Hello Altenew friends!
Nathalie here to show you how to create a colorful Scrapbook layout using dies. I always love using dies to create all sorts of projects, not just cards. Altenew has so many different die sets that can help you create a masterpiece. This time, i am using the new Soda Top Nesting Die Set and Bitty Blooms 3D Die set in the page. The small, but detailed, bloom is a nice complement to the linear shape of the Soda Top outlines. I am sure you are going to love the combination these two create.
Creating the background:
The idea for the page is to create small pockets of color in a zig zag formation. The Soda Top Nesting Die Set provides a large linear outline -similar to a circle- that brings interest to the background. A strip of white cardstock serves as the base for the page, and the zig zag formation of the shapes.
The new Ink Blending Tool helps adding the needed pop of color to the empty outline spaces. Using inks atop of the Broken Chevron stencil bring color and a small patterned interest to the page. The cool color palette of the inks (Rose Petal Mini Ink Cube Set, Shades of Purple Mini Ink Cube set, Lapis Lazuli Mini Ink Cube set, Sweet Dreams Mini Ink Cube set) bring the winter feel of the pictures to the page.
Now that the background is ready, it is time for the next step to create a colorful scrapbook layout using dies. The small Bitty Bloom 3D Die set and Layered Floral Elements Die set are the perfect size for the page; as they can easily fit inside the die cut spaces in the background. The size of the dies require small pieces of paper ( paper scraps time!!). Pieces of papers from my 6×6 paper packs, Gradient cardstock, and Altenew’s Scrapbook collections form the blooms of the page -you can find all the papers used in the supply list at the bottom of the page-
Creating a title:
The last step to create a colorful scrapbook layout using dies is to form a title. Once again, i am using left over pieces of cardstock and the Handwritten Hello Die Set and Bold Alphabet Die set for the title. The cluster of blooms behind the title bring the focus to the title work. The following video will show you the page come together; you can watch it here, or in HD in the Altenew YouTube Channel:
It is so easy to use dies when creating your scrapbook pages. And Altenew has so many dies to chose from, that you will always be inspired.
I cannot wait to see what you create!
